These are the usual sizes of Plywood:

4′ x 8′ x 3mm 3′ x 7′ x 3mm
4′ x 8′ x 3.6mm 3′ x 7′ x 3.6mm
4′ x 8′ x 4.8mm 3′ x 7′ x 4.8mm
4′ x 8′ x 9mm 3′ x 6′ x 9mm
4′ x 8′ x 12mm 3′ x 6′ x 12mm
4′ x 8′ x 15mm 3′ x 6′ 18mm
4′ x 8′ x 18mm
4′ x 8′ x 25mm
5′ x 10′ x 9mm (WBP Only)
5′ x 10′ x 12mm (WBP Only)
5′ x 10′ x 15mm (WBP Only)
5′ x 10′ x 18mm (WBP Only)
5′ x 10′ x 25mm (WBP Only)

Please remember the actual thickness for plywood will be thinner after sanding. Example 4′ x 8′ x 3mm
Plywood actual thickness is 2.5mm or 2.7mm. This is known in the industry and you need to measure
properly first before the start of your project.

What is the weight of Plywood ?

Typically the weight of plywood depends on the density of wood being used to make the plywood. For
MLH (Medium & Light Hardwood) with a size of 4′ x 8′, the weight is estimated to be as such:
4′ x 8′ x 3mm – 5KG
4′ x 8′ x 3.6mm – 6KG
4′ x 8′ x 4.8mm – 8KG
4′ x 8′ x 9mm – 15KG
4′ x 8′ x 15mm – 25KG
4′ x 8′ x 18mm – 30KG
4′ x 8′ x 25mm – 42KG
This is only a rough guide, although it can vary if the plywood has softer wood properties in it.
Plywood tend to be lighter if it has been stored for a long time in indoors condition as its moisture content
has been lost during the duration.
